What the Huxandor platform does day to day

Invoicing, bank reconciliation, GST-ready reporting and payroll integration, running inside one registered Singapore platform. This page walks through what actually happens on a Tuesday afternoon.

Huxandor is business accounting software, registered and supported in Singapore

Huxandor Pte. Ltd. operates from 8 Marina Boulevard in the Marina Bay Financial Centre and runs its own Singapore support desk on +65 6286 5488, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM SGT. The platform is built for registered businesses — sole proprietorships, partnerships and private limited companies — not for personal finance. That distinction shapes everything below: the invoicing, the GST handling, the payroll records and the reports all assume a business filing obligations to IRAS and CPF.

Invoicing and receivables

Create an invoice from a template, add line items with their GST treatment, and send it by email. The system tracks whether it has been viewed, paid, or is overdue, and updates the status when a matching bank transaction arrives — so you are not reconciling an invoice list against a bank feed by hand at month end.

Recurring invoices run on schedule for retainer work. Credit notes stay linked to their source invoice rather than floating loose. Part payments are handled, which matters when a client pays a deposit and settles the balance later. The receivables ageing report reflects all of it without a manual rebuild.

Covered in this chapter

  • Template invoices with per-line GST treatment
  • Recurring schedules for retainer and subscription work
  • Linked credit notes and part-payment handling
  • Receivables ageing that rebuilds itself

Bank reconciliation

Connect your bank accounts and transactions flow in for matching. Recurring items, like rent or a monthly software subscription, usually match themselves after the first cycle. Everything else lands in a review queue where you confirm the match or assign it to the right category — one pass, with the unmatched items at the top.

You can split a single transaction across categories, which is common when a bank payment covers several invoices or a mixed expense. Reconciliation history is kept, so you can see who matched what and when — useful when more than one person touches the books.

Matches itself

Rent, subscriptions and other repeating items after their first cycle.

Needs your call

One-off payments, split deposits and mixed expenses sit in the review queue.

GST reporting workflow

GST treatment is recorded at the transaction level. Standard-rated, zero-rated and exempt supplies are separated as they are entered, not at filing time. When the accounting period closes, the figures are grouped in the format the IRAS return expects — so filing is a review, not a reconstruction.

Standard-rated supplies Taxable at the prevailing rate
Zero-rated supplies Recorded separately, not netted off
Exempt supplies Held outside the GST total
Input tax on purchases Tied to the document it came from

You can review the GST summary before filing, drill into any figure to see the transactions behind it, and export the period for your records. If a transaction was coded incorrectly, correcting it updates the period it belongs to — the figures follow the change instead of sitting frozen.

Filing itself stays with your accountant or tax agent. The platform prepares the figures and the supporting detail; the review and submission remain a professional step. For most Singapore SMEs that is exactly how the workflow should sit.

Payroll integration

Salary runs happen inside the platform. Gross pay, deductions and net pay post to the ledger without a manual journal, so the payroll total and the accounting total never drift apart between systems.

CPF contributions are calculated by the employee's residency status and age band, with employer and employee portions recorded separately. Leave records, statutory documentation and salary history sit alongside the payroll data. For a small employer, that means one system holds both the accounting record and the employment record — which simplifies year end and any MOM-related query.

Expense capture and input tax

Staff can photograph receipts and supplier invoices from a phone, attach them to an expense, and tag the GST treatment. For GST-registered businesses, this keeps input tax claims tied to documentation rather than reconstructed months later.

Approval before posting

Approval flows can be set so expenses above a threshold route to a manager before posting. The accounting entry waits until approval, which keeps the ledger clean without blocking the person who incurred the cost. A receipt photographed on site and approved two days later still lands in the right period with its documentation attached.

Reports and exports

Standard reports include profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, aged receivables and payables, and GST summaries. They update as transactions are entered. You can filter by period, compare against prior months, and export in formats your auditor or bank accepts.

There is no separate reporting module to license. The reports are part of the platform, and every figure traces back to the transactions that produced it — so when your accountant asks where a number came from, the answer is two clicks away rather than a spreadsheet hunt.

Profit and loss

Filtered by period, comparable against prior months.

Balance sheet

Live positions, with each line traceable to source.

Cash flow

Actual movements from reconciled bank transactions.

Aged receivables

Who owes what, and how long it has been outstanding.

Aged payables

Supplier balances and what falls due this month.

GST summaries

Grouped per period in the format the return expects.

Roles and access

Access is role-based. You assign roles and change them when staff join or leave. Activity is logged, so a change to a transaction or a filing period is attributable — that matters less in a three-person business and more as you grow, but it is there from day one.

Bookkeeper

Transactions, bank reconciliation and expense capture. The day-to-day desk role.

Accountant

Reporting, GST summaries and period review. Sees the figures behind every return line.

Director

Dashboards and the cash position. Enough to know where the business stands this month.

What Huxandor does not do

Huxandor is cloud accounting for Singapore SMEs. It is not a full ERP. If you need multi-warehouse inventory, manufacturing planning, or consolidated reporting across a dozen legal entities, we are not the right system and we will say so early rather than at implementation.

We also do not replace your accountant. The platform produces the records and the GST figures. Your accountant or tax agent still reviews and files. Most Singapore SMEs want it that way, and the software is designed around that split of work.

How this compares to other options in Singapore

Global platforms

QuickBooks Online and Zoho Books. Broad feature sets, large app ecosystems, and support that is not always anchored to Singapore filing practice.

Desktop-to-cloud brands

Sage and ABSS. Long-established in the region, often familiar to accountants who have worked with them for years.

Local options

Financio and AutoCount. Close to local requirements, with a smaller supporting ecosystem around them.

Huxandor

GST-ready bookkeeping, payroll integration and local phone support, all inside one platform built for a Singapore-registered SME.

Each option has a different center of gravity. If ours matches what you need, the next step is pricing or a support conversation — both are one click away.

Practical questions before you commit

Do I need to be GST-registered to use Huxandor?

No. Plenty of Singapore SMEs use the platform for invoicing, bank reconciliation and payroll without a GST registration. If you register later, the transaction-level treatment is already recorded, so switching on GST reporting does not mean recoding past months.

Does Huxandor file my GST return with IRAS?

The platform prepares the period figures in the format the return expects, and you can drill into any line before you hand it over. The actual submission stays with your accountant, tax agent, or your own filing. We prepare; you or your professional files.

Can my accountant work in the same account as my team?

Yes. Roles are assigned separately, so a bookkeeper can work the transaction queue while your accountant reviews reporting and GST periods, and a director sees dashboards and the cash position. Activity is logged, so changes are attributable to the person who made them.

What happens when a receipt arrives after the period closes?

Photograph it whenever it lands and attach it to the expense. Approval can route to a manager first, and the accounting entry waits until approval rather than posting unapproved. Corrections to a coded transaction update the period the transaction belongs to, so the GST figures follow the change.
